What Does Chiropractic Care Cost?
How your care is paid for: car-accident PIP, health insurance, Medicare, and what happens if PIP runs out.
The short answer
After a car accident in Utah, your own PIP auto coverage usually pays for your care, with $0 out of pocket up to your PIP limit. We verify your benefits before or at your first visit, bill your insurer directly, and warn you as you get close to your limit. We also accept most health insurance, Medicare and Medicare Advantage. We bill per visit, with no prepaid packages. Call 801-373-1035 for a quote for your situation.
After a car accident: Utah PIP
Utah requires every auto policy to include Personal Injury Protection (PIP), with at least $3,000 for medical care. It pays for your treatment no matter who caused the crash, with no deductible on the required benefit. Most patients pay $0 out of pocket up to their PIP limit.
- We verify your PIP benefits before or at your first visit.
- We bill your auto insurer directly.
- We tell you when you are getting close to your PIP limit, so there are no surprises.

When PIP runs out
You have two options, and we will walk you through both before you reach the limit:
- Your health insurance can be billed for continued care.
- A lien. If another driver was at fault and you have a claim, we can continue care on a lien, meaning we are paid when the case settles. That amount comes out of your settlement, so we keep you informed about your balance.
Health insurance
We work with most major health plans. Coverage for chiropractic care, X-rays, massage and decompression varies by plan. Call us with your insurance information and we will check your benefits before your visit.
Medicare and Medicare Advantage
We accept Medicare and Medicare Advantage. Original Medicare Part B covers spinal manipulation by a chiropractor to correct a subluxation; you pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount after your Part B deductible. Original Medicare does not cover other services a chiropractor orders, such as X-rays, massage or acupuncture. Medicare Advantage plans cover at least the same and sometimes more; check your plan or call us.
No prepaid packages
We bill visit by visit. There is no prepaid package to sign, including for spinal decompression, so you can stop whenever you want.
Without insurance
We offer self-pay care, billed per visit. Call 801-373-1035 and we will give you a clear quote for your situation before you schedule.
