What We Do at McClean Chiropractic

From diagnosis to long-term correction, we help you get clarity about your pain — and a real plan to fix it. We treat the root cause, not just the symptoms.

We help with three kinds of spine pain

Different problems demand different protocols. Here’s the territory we cover.

01

Accident & Injury Recovery

Car accidents, whiplash, ligament instability, post-concussion care. We document and treat the biomechanical injuries others miss.

02

Chronic Pain & Spine Conditions

Herniated discs, sciatica, chronic neck and back pain, pinched nerves. We find the structural driver and build a plan that lasts.

03

Aches & Functional Issues

Headaches, TMJ, shoulder pain, postural strain — the everyday issues that quietly limit how you move and live.

Our three-stage approach

Most chiropractors skip step 1. We don’t.

DIAGNOSE

Advanced Spinal Diagnostics

Full-spine X-rays, motion-based imaging, and AI-assisted analysis to find the real pain generator.

PLAN

Spine Management

Once we understand your condition, we build a plan focused on reducing pain, restoring motion, and protecting your spine long term.

TREAT

Hands-on Care & Rehabilitation

Manual adjustment, traction therapy, high-tech rehab, and targeted exercise to retrain how your spine moves.

Clear Answers for Spine Pain — Not Just What Hurts, But Why

We take the guesswork out of spine care using advanced diagnostics, motion imaging, and a case-specific treatment plan that fits your body.

We Measure What Matters

At McClean Spine, we’re thorough on purpose. Every plan starts with real data — never assumption.

1

Measure What Matters

We use full-spine and motion X-rays to understand spinal movement — not just static structure. Static imaging can’t show how your spine actually moves.

2

Correlate Imaging with Symptoms

We match MRI findings, motion analysis, and physical exam results to identify the actual pain generator — not just what the report flags.

3

Build a Two-Phase Plan

Phase A calms irritation. Phase B restores motion, structure, and stability for long-term relief — not just temporary symptom suppression.

MRI Review, Done Right

If you already have an MRI, we don’t just read the report. We read the imaging itself — frame by frame — and correlate it with what we see on motion X-ray.

  • Correlate what we see on MRI
  • Compare it with your motion X-rays
  • Tie it back to your exam findings

This lets us identify the actual pain generator — not just what the report says might be abnormal.

Your Treatment Plan: Based on Data, Built for Results

Once we have a clear diagnosis, we build a spine care plan that focuses on:

✓ Reduce pain & inflammation

Calm the irritation first, then move into corrective work.

✓ Correct mechanics

Fix the structural drivers that caused the problem.

✓ Build lasting improvement

Not symptom suppression — real structural + functional change.

For patients with disc herniations or chronic compression, we also offer spinal decompression therapy as part of a thorough plan.

Fellowship-Trained. Three Generations of Spine Care.

All three of our doctors hold the FSBT (Fellow of Spinal Biomechanics & Trauma) credential — a designation most chiropractors never pursue. We’ve also completed fellowship-level training in MRI interpretation, motion X-ray fluoroscopy, and AI-assisted imaging analysis.

McClean Chiropractic has served families in Provo and Utah County since 1965. We’re the spine specialists your primary care doctor would send their own family to.

Common questions about our approach

Three things. First, all our doctors are fellowship-trained Spine Management Physicians. A two-year postdoctoral fellowship through the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Cleveland University. Second, we image and measure with motion X-ray and AI analysis rather than guessing. Third, we coordinate care with other specialists instead of treating your spine in isolation.

Varies by condition. Simple acute cases: 4-8 visits. Corrective biomechanical cases: 3-6 months with decreasing frequency. We’ll give you a specific plan after the exam and imaging.
